LOL!

I swear I am impressed. Like, how did the four people I reported suddenly go from "not bots" to "bots"? I fully expected the GMs to say they are unable to find evidence when I submitted the reports, yet here they are agreeing the players I reported to be bots. Perhaps there is hope for JQ after all!

I'm assuming they are operating under a 'innocent until proven guilty' mantra so that means no evidence means they kinda have to assume innocence.

sweet!!!!

can you pm me the names of those you reported.... ive got some bots ive noticed on my friends list so if they're on i be cautious about entering JQ. im wondering if it got any of them and if its the bot guild that all run the same code that ive noticed. also if you could include where you sent the ticket to or whatever and what details you included...... a succesful report is awesome and i will report in the same manner you did when i notice bots. do they need time/date to review an incident? screenshot? fraps? i could have had a fraps of a bot going to yellow quarry object then engaging kurz 3 times in a row.... always going for the sign before engaging. and fallback at predictable intervals.... that would be a pain to do, but if it got the regular bots out of the way i'd do it. and host the vids on my site.

im excited because if the major botters get banned, they are less likely to waste another account as fast.... and try other things for botting, or run thier bots less often etc.

Do we have to go and submit a report ticket though, rather than just rely on the in-game /report command?

Truly a historic moment. Never have I heard of any of those FA/JQ bots ever getting any sort of disciplinary action. Ever. Although some have over time disappeared and never returned. I presumed they finally quit GW and moved on.

I have also had success reporting bots when using the GW web support.

obviously anet is able to track bots quite easily (nobody uses functions like "follow selected allied" regularly etc). maybe they implement a better auto-kick/ban mechanic with the next bigger pvp-update. an ingame message like "Bot Xxx Y was kicked/banned from the game. Please, refrain from using bots and botting programes." would make me laugh.

I failed

There was a downturn in the number of bots for a while, but recently they're all over JQ again, so much so that I hazard there's a >50% probability that any Mo/W or Mo/P, especially on the Luxon side, is a bot. Sigh ...

I haven't seen much, if any bots anywhere in JQ, RA, or even FA. However, if there has been any dramatic increase of these things it could be because creators are taking advantage of Anets busy schedule with the build and test krewe contests and all, and anything else that Anet is working on. That's just my guess, of course a small one.

I was on a Luxon team with 5 bots last night. We only had one turtle survive to haul jade.

So, so sad.

-bots
-leechers
-leavers
-most warriors
-people that fight in the middle of nowhere
-people that aren't able to cap(if no enemy monk is nearby) or defend a quarry(2 or less enemies attacking the quarry) by themselves

They're all pretty much the same level of worthless in JQ.

It's bot weekend too, with the double faction. So, I am sure we will see a lot of them.

ANet should have fixed this leeching / bot bullshit the same time they 'fixed' syncing!

I hope that solving this problem is on their list of to-do's for the PvP-Love update.

For quite a while there were a lot less bots in JQ ...

But recently there're been a resurgence. The Monk bots are still there - you can identify them easily because they Arcane Echo Bane Signet for example, and once they lock on to you they follow you around spamming Smite / signets etc until you kill them. Recently though there's another different kind of bot, the N/A bot running the bomber build. You can identify these because after they bomb a shrine they just stand there spamming Signet of Agony until they degen out.

It's damn sad when ~6-8 of the players in any given game are bots

ANet please do something about this!!

That doesn't prove they are botting.

Nice necrobump btw.

Lets not forget who we are at war with, the gold sellers and buyers. The mechanics of the game, horrible servers, people abusing the game with bots are all second to the real issues. I mean these people are selling Anet property and making money off of it and Anet does not even get a cut. If they can afford to have 5 people working full time on GW, there damn well better be 4 working on getting gold sellers.

/sarcasm
Who the he11 would buy gold when you can make a sin in 2 days and farm yourself for free? My #1 annoyance is botting in MMO games, I wish priorities were reciprocate between customers on the servers and developers.

Well considering how they seem to be "solving" problem by simply deleting the thing from the game, asking for JQ to be "fixed" is brave.
